Why does Peter Pan never age? Just how did that crocodile get Captain Hook’s hand?

In the ingenious Broadway stage play adaptation of the novel Peter and the Starcatcher, imagined as a prequel to Peter Pan, we learn that Peter was once an orphaned English boy; Captain Hook was the infamous (two -handed) pirate Black Stache; and the crocodile’s name is actually Mr. Grin!
