They have been called, “The Royal Family of the Guitar” because of the beauty of their artistry and the passage of talent from generation to generation. Celedonio Romero was a celebrated guitarist in Spain who with his sons Pepe, Celin and Angel produced music of amazing virtuosity and clarity that amazed music critics around the world. The family immigrated to the United States in 1957 and were then introduced to the world as, “The Romeros, the World’s First Guitar Quartet.” As time passed, grandsons Celino and Lito followed in the footsteps of their fathers, becoming fine guitarists and performing with the quartet as they matured. Today, the group represents the third generation of Romero’s continuing in the tradition of excellence.
