SOPAA is proud to welcome to the stage of the Vern Riffe Center multi-Grammy winner, Sharon Isbin. Known throughout the musical world, Sharon has been a student of many teachers including the great Andres Segovia. She received degrees from Yale University and the Yale School of Music and is founder of the Guitar Department at the Juilliard School.

In 2001 she became the first classical guitarist to win a Grammy in 28 years and has been hailed as “the pre-eminent guitarist of our time.” (Boston Magazine)

She has given sold-out performances throughout the world including New York’s Carnegie Hall and Avery Fisher Hall, Washington D.C.’s Kennedy Center, also London, Amsterdam, Vienna, Madrid and more.
