Vacatello sets the scene. Her entry on stage is already dazzling. Her personality has captivated the audience…

Born in Naples, Italy, the 27 year old pianist Mariangela Vacatello, a finalist in the 2009 Van Cliburn Competition, is no stranger to major competitions and world class performing venues. Vacatello was first heard on the concert stage at age five and made her official debut performance at 14 performing Liszt’s 1st Piano Concerto in Milan. Since then, she has been heard in Berlin, Brussels, London, and in extensive tours throughout Mexico and South Africa.

Join us in welcoming this exciting young talent on her first United States tour who the world press has praised for her “steely control, fastidious phrasing and a fine, pearly tone, and total mastery.”
